Are you curious about what a trauma informed yoga class looks like? Why not try one out? This introduction is a one hour class which includes a brief introduction to what trauma yoga is. We'll talk briefly about the benefits and then get to work calming down your body and nervous system. This is a one-time 1:1 introduction to try out a Trauma Sensitive Yoga class to see if it could help you learn how to listen to your body's signals and use scientifically proven methods to calm the nervous system and disrupt the body's flight or fight responses. Calming your nervous system is easy to learn! You don't need special equipment or lots of time. You will feel more comfortable if you have access to a yoga mat, towel, or blanket, and any props that you may like such as a pillow or a yoga block. Wear loose fitting clothing you feel comfortable in. A quiet space works best, even if it's the bathroom floor. I'll meet you there. You may enjoy the aromatherapy of your choice and I'm happy to make suggestions or offer samples.
